Prof. Igor Spigelman, PhD

Igor is a neuropharmacologist with over 30 years of experience in translational pharmacology of neurodegenerative disorders.

Igor's major focus is chronic pain symptoms of various peripheral neuropathies, cancer, and migraine, targeting the cannabinoid system of endogenous ligands and cannabinoid receptors for the development of novel analgesics to provide potent relief of chronic pain symptoms.

Igor is Professor & Chair of the Section of Oral Biology, School of Dentistry, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
